
LGBTQ+ Youth and Caregiver Support Groups- December 11
December 11 @ 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Youth and their families are offered safe and affirming support on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 5:00-6:30 pm. Groups are held at Moraine Park Technical College. Youth and their families may attend as often as they like, drop-ins are welcome and pre-registration is not required.
LGBTQ+ Mid-Grade Youth
Open to all LGBTQ+ youth ages 10-13. Parental consent is required for youth to attend the mid-grade youth group. Youth can expect to play games, and socialize with other LGBTQ+ youth. Presentations and supportive discussions are also offered about health relationships, advocacy, coming out, etc. Occasionally the mid-grade youth group is combined with the older youth if space is unavailable or facilitators are absent/sick.

LGBTQ+ Youth
Open to all LGBTQ+ youth ages 14-18. Youth can expect to play games, and socialize with other LGBTQ+ youth. Presentations and supportive discussions are also offered about healthy relationships, consent, advocacy, coming out, etc. Occasionally mid-grade youth may participate in this group if space or facilitators are unavailable.

Caregivers of LGBTQ+ Youth
This group is open to all parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ youth. Caregivers may include custodial guardians, foster parents, grandparents, or other influential adults in an LGBTQ+ youth’s life. Attendees can expect to discuss how best to support their LGBTQ+ youth, navigating communication with extended family, advocacy, etc. Facilitators will generally plan a theme to guide discussion, but attendees are welcome to bring up alternative topics to gain support.
