Celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride
Each year The Youth and Family Project hosts an annual Pride Celebration to honor the diverse identities of the LGBTQ+ youth and families who live, work, and thrive in Washington County.
About Us
After documenting an increase in the number of youth who feel safe disclosing LGBTQ+ identities to Youth and Family Project counseling personnel, we began creating specific resources and supports for LGBTQ+ youth and their families in Washington County. We have found that the need is great, and additional resources are rare. We continue to add more resources and programs for LGBTQ+ youth, families, and adults in Washington County to meet this need. Clients have requested a local, family-friendly Pride event for several years. 2026 will be our 5th annual event with more activities and entertainment for children and families. As with previous events, our celebration will offer a fun, sober experience. There will be food, information and resource booths, vendors, games, and live music.
2026: 5th Annual Washington County Pride Celebration
The 5th annual Pride Celebration will take place on Sunday, August 9 from 12:00-5:00 pm at Riveredge Nature Center in Saukville, WI.
Volunteer at Washington County Pride
In order to help ensure that this event runs smoothly, volunteers support is needed! Everyone who volunteered last year had a blast! We need your help with directing parking, greeting attendees, activities, set up and clean up. Click the “Volunteer Now!” button to sign up for as many slots as you’d like. Sponsor Washington County Pride
Your sponsorship and support helps ensure we can continue to build on the success of previous years! All excess funds raised beyond event costs will support the agency’s LGBTQ+ programming to ensure LGBTQ+ folx have the support they need to live and thrive in Washington County.
The classic Pride flag, designed by Gilbert Baker, has 6 stripes: red (life), orange (healing), yellow (sunlight), green (nature), blue (harmony), and purple (spirit).
Sponsor Levels
- Red- $50: You will receive a Youth and Family Project thank you card, with an event sticker
- Orange- $100: You will receive a social media shoutout, along with all other previous benefits.
- Yellow- $200: You will receive your logo and a link to your website on our event page, along with all other previous benefits.
- Green- $300: You will have access to corporate volunteer opportunities, along with all other previous benefits.
- Blue- $400: You will have your logo posted on our Wall of Thanks for 1 year, along with all other previous benefits.
- Purple- $500: You will have logo placement on our limited edition event t-shirts, along with all other previous benefits (deadline 6/15/2026).
- Rainbow- $1000+: You will get a 30 second commercial spoken by event emcees at the event, along with all other previous benefits.

Pride Besties
Sponsors who have contributed 3+ years will get a special shout out on social media and are invited to share a quote about the reasons they take PRIDE in supporting this event. Pride Besties will also receive an emcee mention at the event.
