NAMI Washington County and The Youth and Family Project have partnered to create safe, supportive, and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and their caregivers – fostering connection, strengthening families, and supporting mental and emotional well-being.
These affirming support groups are designed for LGBTQ+ youth and their caregivers. Youth and caregivers meet simultaneously in separate supportive spaces to build connection, confidence, understanding, and community.

True Colors Collective: Youth Support Group
Open to all LGBTQ+ youth ages 12-17. This group provides a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ youth to connect, express themselves, and build confidence through peer support, activities, and conversation.
The Support Circle: Caregivers of LGBTQ+ Youth
This group is open to all parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ youth. Caregivers may include custodial guardians, foster parents, grandparents, or other influential adults in an LGBTQ+ youth’s life. This group provides a supportive space for parents and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and gain tools to support the LGBTQ+ youth in their lives.
